With a focus on what makes the Maple Leaf neighborhood unique, the overall intent of this domain is to promote locally owned businesses, events which promote community support, and awareness of changes in your neighborhood. 

In the coming days, weeks and months, the intent is to not only promote commerce and events but also include relevant information such as. 

• Community Council Updates

•  Real-Time Crime Updates

• Interviews with residents and local-business owners in the neighborhood. 

Finally, we recognize there are many worthy businesses in other neighborhoods or business which are a part of a chain and not locally owned. We encourage those businesses to reach out to advertise within this domain if they wish to be included. 

We encourage you, as our neighbor, to reach out with questions or suggestions.

Question. I noticed that your list of businesses excludes some, despite their 98115 zip code. Why? 

Answer: A great question. Rather than have a website built around zip codes, we elected to use the City of Seattle's boundary definition (see below in your footer).

This allows us to provide a hyperlocal resource. 

Question. I noticed you're missing the new Macrina Bakery from the list of businesses. Can you add this to your list?

Answer: Another great question. But, as Macrina Bakery is a large chain of locations (currently 6, as of early-2025), compared to other coffee shops and bakeries, we have elected to promote those businesses which support one or two locations. We also do not support businesses like 7-Eleven, even though they are located in Maple Leaf, because they are not independently owned.

Question. I'm a business owner listed on your website, but I need updates made. What is needed of me? 

Answer: All that's required of you is to contact us by selecting the ? icon and entering your business name in the subject and what you need changed. 

Question. Are you currently accepting Sponsored Posts?

Answer: As of right now, no. Moving forward we will evaluate the value of advertisement in the form of an article. But for now, we are not interested. 

Question. Is this website the same as Maple Leaf Life? 

Answer: No. This website was inspired by the lack of updates posted within neighborhood websites like Maple Leaf Life and others.
